Bicycle Friendly Professional (BFP™)
What is a Bicycle Friendly Professional (BFP™)?
A BFP is a professional certification that validates an individual's competency in the area of bicycle infrastructure, policy, education, enforcement, evaluation, planning and the programs in each of these areas. To become a BFP™ you must complete 6 courses and pass 3 tests with a 70% or better grade. The six courses are based on the League of American Bicyclists areas of certification, better known as the 5 E's: Engineering (Parts 1 and 2) Education, Enforcement, Encouragement and Education. Each course is about 4 hours of online instruction and class work. There is homework required for each course prior to the start of class.
