Be Bike Friendly's Certification Program is a Success!
Be Bike Friendly's first online course launched in February 2011 for the certified Bike Route Designer and Event Professional. The next class will be just before the spring riding season, March 21 and April 8 and 20, and is a great chance for those leading or designing bike routes to verify their course is safe. The course will be offered twice in April and May and once a month thereafter. Special event directors from many of the major nonprofit organizations are enrolled in the certificate program. Be Bike Friendly also offers consulting for communities to aid in their planning and evolution to a more livable community. Through our Bicycle Friendly Assessment (BFA) engagement you will learn what assets are you have and what jewels you can polish. BBF provides you the insight on how your community can create a path to being a bicycle friendly community. Our engagement begins a wheels down approach and finishes with a report that identifies strengths and weaknesses, easily attained assets, issue areas, and bicycle counts.
